1906-07-12 ATTEMPT ON ADMIRAL CHUKHNIN

London Times, 12 July 1906: ATTEMPT ON ADMIRAL CHUKHNIN. SEVASTOPOL, JULY 11, 1 P.M.*

An attempt has just been made by a sailor upon the life of Admiral Chuknin, Commander of the Black Sea Fleet. The Admiral was wounded and was taken to hospital. The assailant has not been arrested.

This is the second attempt, Reuter’s Agency points out, which has been made on the life of Admiral Chukhnin. On February 10 a woman wounded him with a revolver in his office, and was herself shot dead by a sentry.
