1906-07-19 TRIAL OF THE SEVASTOPOL MUTINEERS

London Times, 19 July 1906, p. 5: TRIAL OF THE SEVASTOPOL MUTINEERS. SEVASTOPOL, JULY 17.* The trial was begun here to-day before a naval Court-martial, under the presidency of General Andreieff, of the first batch of the 96 sailors implicated in the military mutiny at Sevastopol in November 1905. The employés of the Admiralty here, in order to express their sympathy with the accused, have gone on strike and have been joined by the commercial clerks. All street traffic is suspended. The patrols have everywhere been strengthened, but no collision has as yet occurred with the military.
