London Times, 21 September 1909, p. 3: RUSSIA./THE TSAR’S VISIT TO ROME. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) ST. PETERSBURG, SEPT. 20. Orders have been issued to the Black Sea Fleet to commence the manoeuvres. The Tsar will remain meanwhile in Livadia. Afterwards he is expected to go to Rome. In order to rejoin the Tsaritsa as soon as possible his Majesty may travel by land via Berlin, but this is not yet decided. It is rumoured in naval circles that the Sultan will come to Livadia.
