1905-09-11 THE RUSSIAN NAVAL COMMANDERS

London Times, 11 September 1905, p. 3: THE RUSSIAN NAVAL COMMANDERS. ST. PETERSBURG, SEPT. 9.*

The wife of Admiral Nebogatoff indignantly denies a report which has been circulated that her husband asked the Emperor of Japan to confer upon him Japanese nationality. Admiral Nebogatoff, she states, will on his return to Russia prove his innocence before the Court-martial, and will demand to be rehabilitated. According to the newspapers, the trial promises to produce some sensational charges against the administration of the navy.

Admiral Enquist has decided not to recommend any of the officers or men of the ships which were under his command for distinction or reward for their services in the Far East.
