London Times, 6 June 1908, p. 9: THE KING’S VISIT TO RUSSIA – PREPARATIONS AT REVAL (From our own correspondent.) St. Petersburg, June 5. (Excerpt.)
The preparations at Reval for Tuesday’s meeting are already completed. The town council has voted money for decorating the streets and for the reception of the distinguished visitors. The citizens hope that King Edward may change his plans and visit the town.
The roadstead is closed to all vessels unprovided with special permits. Rear-Admiral Iretzky, commanding the port, is in charge of the naval arrangements.
