The London and China Telegraph states: --

"The Russian Steam Navigation Company are now de[....?] from Odessa the Tchikhatchoff, of 2,000 tons, for Shanghai and Hankow, calling at intermediate ports. The company expect her to return to Odessa with the new season's tea, to be forwarded on to the fair at Nijni Novgorod, which has been hiterto supplied by overland caravan from China, and generally reputed to turn out in better condition than the sea-borne tea."
