London Times, 4 September 1911, p. 3: RUSSIAN SQUADRON AT VARNA. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) SOFIA, SEPT. 3. The Russian Black Sea Squadron, composed of ten warships, under the command of Admiral Bostrem, arrived yesterday at Varna, where it will stay three days. It was most enthusiastically received by the Military and Civil authorities and the citizens, and the city is decorated with Russian and Bulgarian flags in honour of the visitors. Admiral Bostrem and his staff officers will be received in audience by Queen Eleonora, who is residing at Euxinograd.
