Details of the attempt on Admiral Chukhnin show that three bullets passed right through his body without inflicting any serious injury, while the fourth lodged in his stomach. His condition inspires hope of his recovery. He continues to transact business.

(FROM A CORRESPONDENT.) ST. PETERSBURG, FEB. 11.

The attempt to murder Admiral Chukhnin is ascribed to revenge for the recent dismissals of officers.
