London Times, 2 January 1911, p. 7: RUSSIAN SAILOR KILLED AT TOULON. TOULON, JAN. 1.* A 8 o’clock this evening two sentries guarding the cartridge factory at the Arsenal noticed two Russian sailors from the battleship Slava approaching. They challenged them, but the Russians did not retire. The sentinels thereupon fired, and one of the Russians was killed.
