London Times, 4 November 1871, p. 9: THE GERMAN EMPIRE. (From our Prussian correspondent.) Berlin, Nov. 1. (Excerpt)

...Another Russian Russian frigate has been disabled by a collision. The unfortuante vessel is the Rurik, which ran against a merchantman near Cronstadt on the night of October 23. The Black Sea squadron is being so rapidly increased that the official style and title of fleet, withdrawn after the catastrophe of the Crimean War, has been restored.
