1905-10-30 MUTINY IN A RUSSIAN WARSHIP

London Times, 30 October 1905, p. 5: MUTINY IN A RUSSIAN WARSHIP. BREST, OCT. 28.*

The crew of the Russian cruiser Gerzog Edinburgski, which is anchored in the harbour here, have mutinied on the ground that they were supplied with biscuits instead of bread. The commander ordered bread to be brought on board. The ringleaders of the mutineers were, however, punished, ten of them being put in irons.
